Abstract
The article discusses the concept of parenting styles as factors influencing the manifestation of creativity in children of primary school age.
The novelty of the work lies in the fact that the conducted empirical study is one of the few studies devoted to the study of the relationship between family parenting styles and the manifestation of creativity and anxiety in children of primary school age.
In the Introduction, the author reviews the relevance of the study, due to the high demand for providing all aspects of social life with personnel with outside the box, creative thinking, and at the same time, the lack of understanding of how family relationships affect the development of creativity in children. An analysis of various approaches to the problem of creativity and creative thinking is given. The empirical object of the study were 60 children aged 8 to 11 years and their parents. The “Methods” section lists statistical methods, as well as methodological tools: Torrens' test, Catell's Questionnaire, Stepanov's Method. The Results of the study show the correlation between parenting styles, creativity and anxiety in children. In “Discussion of the results” section, the author notes that in families with a democratic style of upbringing, children have better conditions for the developing of their creativity and creative potential. Since in this case the parent realizes the importance of his role, while giving the child a lot of space for development. The level of anxiety in such families in children is lower.
