Author Guidelines

The creation of a portfolio of publications is based on the norms of copyright and related legal norms set out in Russian legislation, on the ethical principles supported by the community of leading publishers of scientific periodicals. The Editorial Board of the Journal is responsible for making the decision on publication, taking into account the reliability, scientific significance and relevance of the work under consideration.

The Editorial Board expects authors submitting their manuscripts for publication in the Journal to comply with the following principles:

  • originality of the research;
  • providing reliable results of work;
  • objective discussion of the findings;
  • recognition of other persons’ contribution, mandatory availability of bibliographic references to the works used;
  • submission of confidential information only upon permission;
  • providing information about all co-authors who have made a significant contribution to the study;
  • approval of the final version of the manuscript by all the co-authors and their informed consent to its submission for publication;
  • immediate notification of the Editor in cases when the author/s have discovered significant errors or inaccuracies in the paper, and interaction with the Editorial board in order to promptly correct errors or withdraw the publication, to timely correct errors and inaccuracies identified by the editors.

Articles should correspond to the thematic profile of the journal, meet international standards of scientific publications and be prepared in accordance with the established rules. All texts must be written in literary language, edited and conform to the scientific style of speech. Incorrect selection and unreliability of facts, quotations, statistical and other data, proper names, geographical names and other information provided by the authors may cause rejection of the submitted material (including at the registration stage). Submission of an article to the Journal implies that the author expresses his/her consent to its publication, placement in the public domain on the official website of the Journal, transmission of the text of the article (including references, bibliographic information, etc.) to persons to whom the provision of this information is mandatory, or to other persons in order to provide the possibility of citation of the publication and increase the citation index of the author and the Journal.

The decision to publish the materials is made by the Editorial Board, which can accept it for publication, recommend the author to finalize the article or reject the materials.

The Editorial Board reserves the right to make reductions and editorial changes to the manuscript.

The copyrighted materials published in the Journal reflect the private view of the authors, which may differ from the point of view of the Editorial Board.

All manuscripts are checked for plagiarism using customized software: Antiplagiat. If borrowings are found, then, depending on the clarified circumstances, a decision may be made to reject the manuscript.

To publish an original article, authors are requested to comply with the following requirements for submitting materials to the Editorial Board.

The article and all the data for the article should be issued in one file and sent via the electronic editorial office of the journal. Initially, you need to register yourself on this site as an author, and then register the publication. Registered authors get the opportunity to upload an article to the Journal's database on their own and subsequently track the status of their publications. 

The Editor's corrections highlighted in color in the article file sent for approval or correction must be saved, the author's corrections should also be highlighted in color.

When submitting an article to the Journal, the author should provide ORCID. ORCID is an international identifier of authors, which contributes to the better distribution of the author's articles after publication. To get this ID, the author should register on the site https://orcid.org/register

Submission of the article to the Editorial board

When preparing an article for publication in the Journal, the following should be taken into account:

— specify the UDC;

— the title of the article should briefly (no more than 20 words) and accurately reflect the problems of the study without using abbreviations and formulas; it should be both informative and attractive, reflect the uniqueness of the author's scientific creativity;

— initials and family names of the authors (no more than 6 authors) are given with links to contact information (place of work (study) of the author(s), organization); city, country, e-mail, phone (if desired); it is necessary to include the e-mail address of one of the authors (corresponding author) in the affiliation field, (when transliterating full names, the author must adhere to their uniform spelling in all articles).

— Abstract (300-400 words) should briefly state the purpose of the study, the main results and the main conclusions of the research (given both in Russian and English). The structure of the abstract should be as follows.

Introduction states the scientific problem and objectives of the work. The topicality of the research issues is described, and the gap in scientific knowledge that gives the basis for the research is indicated.

Materials and Methods. The methods and techniques used, or procedures for obtaining scientific knowledge are presented.

Results of the research are given briefly, the most significant results, attractive to the reader and the scientific community are described.

Discussion and Conclusion. This section should briefly discuss the significance of the results of the work, not repeat them. The contribution of the research to science is evaluated, as well as the possibility of applying its results in real practice.

— Keywords are a search tool for a scientific article. It is possible to search articles by keywords in all bibliographic databases. They should reflect the main provisions, achievements, findings, terminology of scientific research. The list of keywords can also include phrases of 2-3 words, but no more than 4 such phrases. They are given both in Russian and English.

— Acknowledgements. In this section, the authors express their appreciation to colleagues for their help; their gratitude for the financial support of the study.

All the information listed above, from the indication of the UDC and ending with acknowledgements, is then provided in English without fail!

The body of text of the article is necessarily presented in Russian, in addition, you can attach a full-text version of the English translation according to the IMRAD structure:

1) Introduction.
2) Materials and Methods.
3) Results.
4) Discussion and Conclusion.

These sections should be highlighted with appropriate subheadings and contain relevant information.

1) Introduction (1-2 pages) presents statement of a scientific problem, its urgency, connection with the major tasks that need to be solved, emphasizes its significance for the development of a certain branch of science or practice. The introduction should contain information that allows the reader to understand and evaluate the results of the research presented in the article. The author should first of all state the common theme of the study, identify problems that have not been solved in previous studies, which this article is designed to solve. In addition, it expresses the main idea of the publication, which significantly differs from current ideas about the problem, complements or deepens already known approaches to it. The attention is drawn to the introduction of new facts, conclusions, recommendations, and patterns into scientific circulation. The objective of the article follows from the formulation of a scientific problem.

2) Materials and Methods (1-2 pages). This section describes the process of organizing the experiment, the methods and equipment used; provides detailed information about the object of research; indicates the sequence of the study, and justifies the selection of methods used (observation, survey, testing, experiment, laboratory experience, analysis, modeling, etc.).

3) Results. In this part of the article, the author's systematized analytical and statistical material should be presented. The results of the conducted research should be described sufficiently fully, so that the reader can trace its stages and assess the validity of the conclusions made by the author. This is the main section, the purpose of which is to prove a working hypothesis (hypotheses). If necessary, the results are confirmed by illustrations (tables, graphs, figures), which represent the source material or evidence in a contracted form. It is critical that the illustrated information does not duplicate the information already given in the text. It is desirable to compare the results presented in the article with previous works of both the author and other researchers in this field. Such a comparison can emphasize the novelty of the work done, increase its objectivity. The results of the study should be presented briefly, but contain enough information to evaluate the conclusions made. The selection of these data should also be validated. All titles, captions and structural elements of graphs, tables, diagrams, etc., are given both in Russian and English.

4) Discussion and Conclusion. Conclusion contains a brief statement of the research results. It summarizes the basic ideas of the body of text. Repetitions of the material presented should be rephrased. In this section, it is necessary to compare the obtained results to the objective of the study stated at the beginning of the work. The results of comprehension of the topic are summarized; conclusions, generalizations and recommendations arising from the work are made; their practical significance is emphasized; and the main directions for further research in this area are determined. In the final part of the article, it is desirable to include attempts to forecast the development of the issues considered.

References. The list of sources used (from 15 to 20) is drawn up in accordance with the requirements adopted in the Journal using the APA citation style. The reference list indicates only sources (articles, books, monographs, patents, dissertations, etc.) that have authorship. References to anonymous electronic sources on the Internet, State standards, statistical reports, articles in socio-political newspapers and magazines, regulatory documents and other sources not signed by the authors are indicated in page-by-page footnotes and are not included in the reference list.

Footnotes are numbered and placed page by page. It is necessary to refer primarily to original sources from scientific journals included in global citation indexes. Sources published in the last 3 years should be at least 70%, foreign – at least 10%. It is highly undesirable to quote textbooks, guidelines, sources older than 10-15 years. When describing the source, its DOI should be specified. 

References to articles accepted for publication, but not yet published, must be marked with the words “in print”; authors must obtain written permission to refer to such documents and confirmation that they have been accepted for publication. Information from unpublished sources should be marked with the words "unpublished data/documents", the authors must also draw written confirmation of the use of such materials.

About the Authors. The section contains full family name, first name and patronymic name (if any) of the authors; position, official full name of the organization (it is required to specify all the places of work of the author in which the research was carried out (permanent place, place of execution of the project, etc.)); detailed information about the authors: degree, title, position, ORCID, ResearcherID, Scopus ID, e-mail address, contact phone number, full postal address for sending the author's copy. It is given in Russian and English.

Text Formatting

1) The Editorial Board accepts texts saved in .doc, .docx, .rtf. It is advisable to use the Times New Roman font, size 14 and 1.5 line spacing. Manual hyphenation is not allowed. It is forbidden to use double spaces in the text, as well as to indent (indented line) using spaces.

2) The volume of the article should not exceed 25 pages, including a reference list and illustrations (figures or photographs — no more than 5). The exception is reviews — 30 pages (10 figures). All the pages should be numbered (at the bottom of the page, centered).

3) Figures can be presented in raster or vector format with a resolution of at least 300 dpi. They should allow text editing and the possibility of resizing. All graphic data is embedded within the body of the text, and also sent additionally as separate files.

Illustrations (graphs, drawings, diagrams, schemes) drawn using MS Office tools must be contrasting and clear (graphs, schemes and diagrams should be drawn in Microsoft Excel. Illustrations must be executed in a separate file and saved as an image (in * .jpeg, *.bmp, *.gif format), and then placed in the manuscript file as a fixed drawing. Diverse illustrations should be brought to a single graphic style, observing the uniformity of their design. Each figure should be accompanied by a numbered caption. References to figures in the text are mandatory. If the image is copyright, it is necessary to write about it in the title of the figure. If it is taken from the source, provide a link to it.

4) The dimension of the physical quantities used in the article must correspond to the International System of Units (SI). Abbreviated words should not be used, except for the generally accepted ones (“i.e.”, “etc.”). The letters of the Latin alphabet denoting physical quantities are italicized; the letters of the Greek and Gothic (German) alphabet are typed in a straight font.

5) Formulas are typed using a combination of the base font and the Symbol font (except for fractions, sums, square root) in Microsoft Equation 3.0 (Formula Editor in Microsoft Word). Latin characters in formulas and designations (both in the text and in figures) are italicized. Formulas are numbered in parentheses. Only those formulas and equations that are referenced in the following presentation should be numbered. 

6) Tables are embedded within the body of the text of the article. The table must have a heading. 

7) Illustrations (figures, graphs) are numbered in the order they are mentioned in the text, and placed in the text after paragraphs containing a link to them. Each figure must have a caption. Designations, terms, positions, dimensions in the illustration should correspond to the references to them in the text and captions. All lengthy inscriptions should be replaced with numeric or letter designations, and their explanations should be included in the text of the article or in the caption to the figure.

  1. Authors retain copyright and grant the journal right of first publication with the work simultaneously licensed under a Creative Commons Attribution License that allows others to share the work with an acknowledgement of the work's authorship and initial publication in this journal.

Authors are able to enter into separate, additional contractual arrangements for the non-exclusive distribution of the journal's published version of the work (e.g., post it to an institutional repository or publish it in a book), with an acknowledgement of its initial publication in this journal.

Specified when registering the names and addresses will be used solely for technical purposes of a contact with the Author or reviewers (editors) when preparing the article for publication. Private data will not be shared with other individuals and organizations.
